Biography

Gulnaz Shaikh is a development professional, business coach and entrepreneurship facilitator with more than 20 years of experience across gender equality, governance, community mobilisation, renewable energy and social entrepreneurship.

She is Founder and CEO of Soormiyun Cultural & Development Organisation, where her work encompasses women’s empowerment, cultural diplomacy, climate resilience, youth engagement and sustainable development. Through her entrepreneurial work with Takorie, she supports women artisans, traditional craftsmanship and inclusive economic opportunities.

An alumna of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, she brings cross-sector experience to human rights, public engagement, women’s leadership and policy advocacy. Her professional interests centre on connecting grassroots communities with policy institutions, wider networks and sustainable business opportunities.
