Biography
Kainat Waseem is a seasoned healthcare and humanitarian development professional with over 13 years of experience spanning executive management, organizational leadership, strategic operations, and social impact. Her professional journey reflects a consistent commitment to strengthening institutions, empowering teams, and translating ambitious ideas into meaningful, measurable outcomes.
Currently serving as Head of Programs at Refugee Girls Worldwide (RGW), and Director Operations at Waseela Foundation, Kainat leads and oversees humanitarian initiatives across healthcare, education, food security, clean water, and community development. Her work extends beyond Pakistan to international humanitarian programs in Türkiye, Syria, Gaza (Palestine), Lebanon, Malawi, and Morocco. Through strategic partnerships, program governance, and operational oversight, she works to ensure that humanitarian assistance is delivered with dignity, transparency, accountability, and lasting impact.
Before joining RGW and Waseela Foundation, Kainat served as Chief Operating Officer at Dowites78 OT Complex, Civil Hospital Karachi, where she progressed through marketing, administration, and executive leadership roles. Her experience in healthcare management strengthened her expertise in institutional development, multidisciplinary team leadership, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. She has also held professional roles in brand management, business incubation, and academia, including serving as visiting faculty at NED University.
Kainat holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from Muhammad Ali Jinnah University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Karachi. She has also contributed to academic research, with published studies exploring consumer behavior and marketing.
As a woman in leadership, Kainat believes that true influence is not measured by titles or authority, but by the ability to create opportunities, challenge limitations, build capable teams, and inspire meaningful change. Her leadership philosophy combines empathy with accountability, strategic thinking with decisive action, and professional excellence with a deep sense of social responsibility.
