Biography
Sehrish Qamar Malik is a Member of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and a public service leader from District Sudhnuti. She returned to the Assembly in 2026, having previously served from 2016 to 2021. Her work focuses on women’s political participation, girls’ education, community welfare and development.
During her earlier Assembly term, she served on the Public Accounts Committee and chaired TEVTA. Her experience also includes work with the Social and Women Development Departments, participation in law-making, and development initiatives addressing education, health and infrastructure.
As Chairperson of the PML-N Women Wing in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, she leads activities to encourage women’s participation in public life. Her work includes awareness campaigns on women’s rights, education, health and employment, alongside engagement on women-related policy priorities and support for women raising complaints or seeking assistance.
Sehrish has represented the Women Wing in meetings, media and conferences. Her experience combines legislative work, community engagement and political organisation, with a particular interest in strengthening women’s representation and responding to the concerns of communities across AJK.
